The inclined elevator Calidus has been specifically developed for Southern and Mediterranean climate areas. The snow-free latitudes permit use of a cost-efficient drive undercarriage and rail design. A counter-weight is used on the lane in order to reduce the necessary drive output. The design is nevertheless set up so that the inclined elevator can be used intensely, and even in cities. This is proven by the newly commissioned facilities in Spain and France. Since this type of inclined elevator is often also used in coastal regions, we place special value on optimal corrosion protection.
