Renewal of Löntsch cable car

The single-lane Werkseilbahn Löntsch is operated all year round and is also used as access to the moated castle. This system can transport 31 people or a five ton payload, and is driven by an operator either from the valley station or from the cabin.

Replacement of the control unit and the drive motor were major parts of modernisation work. We fitted the motor transmission coupling, including the brake disc, with a touch guard and replaced the service and safety brake.
The main drive should be subjected to an overhaul on site, however the specialists discovered cracks in the tooth system and the transmission had to be fully modernised.
