In the spring of 2013, the aerial tramway Mettmenalp in the Glarnerland was comprehensively renovated. The system was equipped with a new control and a new drive motor. Suspension, drives, operating brakes, safety brake, emergency brake and all rope pulleys were revised entirely. The cabins were completely disassembled and revised, and receive the customers in the new Glarner Look now.
After the completed renovation, the operating permit for the aerial tramway was issued for another 20 years of aerial tramway operation.
