SBB-GSM-R aerial masts

Inauen-Schätti AG builds the aerial masts for the new train radio grid of the SBB.

The SBB is introducing the GSM-R train radio grid on its routes. Transmitter aerials are needed for the train radio grid along the SBB lines. We received the order to produce and install these approx. 600 aerial masts from 2007 to 2011. The at times very short time windows for installation and the live running lines pose high demands to our assembly staff.

GMS-R

GSM-R is the digital communication platform of SBB.

The new technology will cover all mobile speech and data services such as train, shunting, building and local radio of the SBB in future. This ensures direct connection to the control cabin.
